Lot 123: MG A Roadster

When the MGA was launched, in 1955, there was little to beat its beautiful styling. When one considers that the MGA was the first of the modern MG sports cars, which replaced the ageing T Series Midget, this bold new design is even more startling. Despite being based on a separate chassis, the MGA still managed to be sleek and low slung, yet still provided excellent cabin space and a useful boot.his 1956 example is said to have benefited from full restoration with a photographic record. It is equipped with a 5 speed transmission, servo assisted brakes, wire wheels and detailed engine bay. Finished in British Racing Green with tan leather, the car is described as being in good condition throughout.This is a REPLACEMENT LOT and does not appear in the printed catalogue.
