Lot 14A: Ferrari 328 GTS

Developed from the Pininfarina-styled 308 GTB/GTS, the 328 Series was lauched in the autumn of 1985 at the Frankfurt Show. The mid-mounted V8 engine had now grown to 3.2-litres, which equated to a power output of 270bhp and a top speed of 160mph with the 0-60 dash coming up in just 6 seconds. Race bred independent suspension at every corner endowed the car with enviable poise and dynamic handling.The result was a Ferrari that was capable of being driven with complete docility around town, but possessing the potential to see off all opposition on a fast twisty road. When it became time to replace the 328 the task was enormous: it had been by far the most popular model to leave Maranello, a perfect combination of practicality and performance. Between 1985 and 1988, a total of 7,412 GTB and 6,068 GTS models were built.his particular car comes in the classic combination of Rosso Red paintwork with a Magnolia hide interior. It has covered just 47,000 miles from new, has a fresh 12 months MOT and is taxed to the end of April 07. Additional features include an alarm, electric windows, air conditioning and a radio/CD player. Said to be in very good all round condition, it has also just been fitted with two new tyres.
