Lot 211: Jaguar E-Type S2 4.2 Roadster
Jaguar Heritage and Classic Cars, Barons (1st May 2007)
From it's launch in 1961 to it's demise in 1975, the E-Type maintained the mantle of the most beautiful sports car in the world. Throughout its 46 year history the Roadster took the prize for the best looking and most desirable E-Type. Offered here is a late Series 2 Roadster, which is said to have covered a warranted 80,000 miles in 37 years and to have benefited from a restoration within the past 5 years. The accompanying service booklet shows a speedo change in 1973, at 34,702 miles and the car now shows 45,660. A total of 80,362 (at the time of writing). Finished in red with beige interior, the car is described as being in good to excellent condition, with special mention being made of the interior and the paintwork
