Lot 137: Mercedes-Benz 560SEC

Based on the hugely successful "S" Class of the 1980's, the SEC gained a loyal following. This aggressive looking coupe came in various guises, from a modest 280 to the flagship 560. Specification options were endless and build quality was in line with the reputation for excellence, once enjoyed by Mercedes. Offered here is an example of the flagship 560, which is described as being in good condition throughout and is equipped with a number of options. The car was used in a double-page-spread in Classic Car Weekly when the model was featured as part of CCW's buying guides for classic cars. Finished in smoke silver with grey interior, the car is equipped Lorinser front apron, 17" alloy wheels (AMG Replica's), 235x45x17 tyres, automatic air conditioning and CD player. Offered with evidence of a full service on 5th March 2008 and MoT works costing �750 in 2007 and consisting of rear suspension linkages, suspension bushes, self levelling suspension actuator and exhaust boxes. The car has also been fitted with new chrome bumper embellishers.
