This is one of those last Continentals built, a 1995 specification car, being manufactured at the main Crewe works in 1994, and purchased new by Sir Elton John in October that year. It was intended as a replacement for his earlier 1975 Corniche.Throughout its time with Elton John, as with all of his cars it was regularly serviced and maintained at the hands of Weybridge Automobiles, while its use was often in the South of France - where else should one use a Continental?The car was offered as the final lot in Christie's June 2001 sale of Sir Elton John's collection, when it was sold to the present owner.
