Lot 172: 1985 Di Blasi 50cc folding moped
Professor Fritz Ehn Motorcycle Museum Collection, Bonhams (30th June 2008)
The Di Blasi design of a folding trunk moped has become a miniature classic for its light weight less than 70lbs, its small size and ease of folding. Successfully designed to suit commuters, caravanners and boat owners, there seems to be a constant demand for these 25mph fun bikes. This 1985 example finished in its makers original blue paint and with all fittings present, is in good condition, save for the marks usually left on any folding vehicle. Unused since acquisition by the Ehn museum, this useful little bike will only need the usual checks before a new career as a city commuter or paddock bike.
