Lot 02: Mercedes-Benz 500 SEC

First appearing in 1981, the 500 SEC was a most striking design based on the 'S' class saloon.� Unlike many coup�s, it boasted a light and airy interior with accommodation and furnishings of the highest standard.� With their firm yet smooth ride and excellent road manners, the SEC coup�s were a highly regarded motor car and are now establishing a following as a worthy latter day classic offering, as they do, extremely good value for money.First registered on 1st August 1983, the example offered here is a 500 SEC finished in green with complementing trim.� The car has an AMG body kit and wheels and is described as being of smart appearance having benefited from a repaint in recent times.� We are advised that the body and structure are in good sound order.� A similar description is given to the vehicle's mechanical condition, the engine and gearbox apparently having been rebuilt.� A stainless steel exhaust system is fitted and the car is understood to have remained in the present ownership for the last seventeen years.�It is offered for sale with an MOT certificate current until 24th July 2008, along with a Swansea registration document.
