Lot 318A: 1967 Triumph TR6 C
The Jaguar Legend, Coys (18th June 2005)
The Triumph TR6 C is probably the best looking and most potent of all the late 1960's twins. Developed for the US market they were used for trials, scrambling and flattrack racing with notable success. However is was a weekend 'green laner's' that they found great favour especially in the west coast of the America where they could be easily used on and off road for pleasure.Examples in the UK have risen greatly in value over the past 5 years, with restored matching number examples such as this at the top of most colletprs wish list.Restored in 2003 by Lance Johnson this striking and very original model from 1967 was imported from California in 2002. It's total restoration cost was approx. 4,000 to bring it to the excellent condition it is presented here. Now Uk registered it is tax exempt and comes with a new MoT. Every one of these bike has the look like Steve McQueen once owned it as they exude charisma and cool. Fine examples like this are sadly far and few between and are highly recomended.
