Lot 301: 1988 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spyder Veloce

This enduring Alfa Romeo classic was manufactured in 1988 and is reported to be in very good condition. The chassis has been fully undersealed and the body work is free from blemishes with straight panels. Mechanically the car is in good order and the vendor informs us the car drives very well, pulls up straight and all electrics are in good working order. The car has been maintained extremely well with the clutch replaced in 2000, the hood and starter motor replaced in 2004 and various work was carried out in 2005 including new rear suspension bushes and a permanent in-line leaded petrol replacement device fitted. Purchased in 2006 by the current owner, the car has since received constant attention including fitment of new brake discs and pads, new tyres and a new fuel tank while the chassis and underside of the body have been checked by an Alfa Romeo specialist; the carburettors were also adjusted and the battery was replaced. Every year fluids have been topped up and replaced and the steering and wheel alignment checked by Avanti Motors. Supplied with MoT test certificates from July 1994 and a current certificate valid until July 2008, this ever popular Alfa Romeo convertible also comes with the original owner's and workshop manuals as well as a V5 registration document and the original wheel brace and jack. A great example of this Italian classic which is in very good order and one which will provide plenty of wind in the hair motoring this coming summer.
