Lot 1427: BSA A10 RGS Tribute

Vintage MotorCycles, Cheffins (26th April 2008)

This very tidy BSA was purchased privately in 1999 and in its current condition, kept as part of a collection and rarely used, the vendor states that he has never ridden it in the wet and that it starts and runs very well. The engine and frame numbers appear to be consistent and the log book shows just 3 former keepers since 1979 when the BSA re-appeared on the DVLA register. In touring trim and wearing the iconic steel tank matched with Siamese exhaust sytem, this is certainly an eye catching machine. A large quantity of receipts for parts dating from the early 1990's would appear to chronicle the transformation from the original A10 set up and there is evidence of much work carried out to the gearbox and engine as well as copious bills for plating and wheel building. Three old MOT's covering the period 1996 1999 would indicate that the rebuild was well done as 17,000 miles have been covered in this period.
