The engine was recently rebored with a plus 20 thou' new piston and a full service was carried out. 2009 saw a new rear wheel and tyre fitted with s/steel spokes and a subsequent new chain and battery. The vendor states the Comet has been utterly reliable in his ownership starting first or second kick and running beautifully including the fitted clock, it is supplied with various manuals, receipts dating back to 1995, MOT certificates back to 1989 and various other documentation. November 2008 Real Classic magazine featured this machine in an article and a copy is included.
