Lot 117: Cotton 197cc Vulcan Trials
This Cotton Vulcan roadster had already been converted into a trails bike and fitted with a 1953 Villiers 8E engine when the current owner acquired it in 1999. The vendor has fitted a larger rear sprocket to making climbing Bath's hills easier and used the Cotton regularly for trips around the city. The only work necessary has seen the magneto re-magnetised and clutch plates replaced occasionally, other than that the machine has required no maintenance. However it should be noted that weak electrics mean that it currently has a 'daylight' MoT only. Unfortunately, a broken arm has prevented the owner from riding since the last certificate was issued in 2011. Benefiting from new mudguards (fitted in 2010), the machine is offered with VMCC dating certificate, current road fund licence, MoT to July 2012 and Swansea V5C.
