Lot 351: Puch 50cc Maxi
Collectors Motor Cars, Motorcycles & Automobilia, Bonhams (12th September 2009)
The Austrian firm of Puch were renowned for producing sound reliable products, mostly with 2-stroke engines, although it should be stated the price and styling of their motorcycle range didn't always appeal to the UK market. Their famous Maxi moped, however, was a popular seller straight from its introduction in the early 1970s. Overall Puch made nearly two million examples of these rugged mopeds with their pressed-steel frame. Still owned by the original purchaser the Maxi has completed barely 2000 miles since new. Complete with its last MOT Certificate dated November 1981 the red and ivory Puch is supplied with an Instruction Book [46 pages], the Guarantee, a Lubrication Chart, a selection of tax discs, the owner's helmet, and V5 Registration document.
