In 1968, the XJ6 replaced the large and diverse range of Jaguar saloons and soon proved itself to be one of their most significant cars ever. It set new standards in handling, comfort and silence without compromising any of Jaguar s established attributes such as performance and value. Paramount Performance do not employ normal people. The architect that undertook the remodelling of this civilised leviathan, Chas Whitaker, had a vision and he approached that vision with a meticulousness that would make Maybach blush. The big story is under the bonnet, Turbo Technics developed and built the engine, using titanium pistons and conrods and an all new cylinder head. The ZF gearbox has been strengthened and fitted with Racelogic traction control, push-button gear change and a switchable steering weight distribution system. The exhaust system has been reworked, the suspension lowered and the interior revised. New alloy wheels do more than decorate each corner and the specialised high speed rubber help keep the car on the tarmac. With starship like performance and a gut-shredding 450 bhp measured off the gearbox, this utterly bespoke motorcar comes complete with the highest accolade, Jeremy Clarkson featured it on  Top Gear and described it as having the menacing glower of a bouncer at a nightclub when you ve turned up wearing jeans! With a 92,000 price tag when new, this three owner car must be the bargain of the day.
