The 380 SL made its debut in March 1980 at the Geneva Auto Show and was to continue the success already achieved with the 280 SL and 500 SL models.� The W107 Series sports models had first appeared in 1971 with styling that was to prove particularly enduring, continuing with very few changes right up until 1989.� The replacement for the 450 SL, the 380 model, is still a popular choice with Mercedes enthusiasts.� There is little doubt that good examples of this model are ideal for those seeking a comparatively modern classic that is capable of daily use.Dating from 1982, this red 380 SL is reported to have undergone a repaint in its original colour four years ago.� Said to have no major mechanical faults, it is now being offered for sale due to it receiving insufficient use.� We are advised that it has been regularly maintained and the hood has been replaced in the last few years.�Partial service history is included along with a V5 document and recently renewed MOT certificate.
