Lot 120: 1964 Sunbeam Tiger

This fine example of Alpines fearsome "Tiger" with its 4.3 Litre V8 engine was built in 1964 and delivered new to the United States. It has been confirmed by factory records that the car is a correct North American specification Alpine Tiger Roadster. Having spent most of his time in the US, the fine climate kept the car in very good original condition. Exported to Australia, the car was the subject of a comprehensive "body off" restoration and bare metal re-spray in its original colour of Artic white. Photographs of this restoration are available in the history file. The car now remains in excellent order throughout and the mechanics are also reported to be very good. Fitted with a rare and original factory hard top, the car sits on its correct "export" style alloy wheels. Imported into Europe recently, all import taxes have been paid and the car is now ready to be used having only completed a test mileage since its restoration. A fine and elegant sporting car fitted with a powerful Ford V8 engine, it has both looks and performance.
