Lot 003: Honda Civic GL

Classic & Vintage Cars & Motorcycles, Brightwells Auctioneers and Valuers (13 July 2011)

The Honda Civic was launched in 1972 as a very conventional 2-door model, soon growing to a 3-door hatch and then into an entire range including sports coupes and pseudo off roaders. Efficient, reliable and very well built, it has won many friends along the way and by 2008 had even topped the US best sellers list.

This 4th generation Civic would not normally be a contender for a classic car auction, however it has covered just 41,000 miles since new and according to the maintenance schedule has been serviced 35 times! That is once every 1,170 miles or very nearly twice a year presumably which ever came first. In the sort of condition that one would expect of a car receiving so much attention, it is offered today with no apology.
