Lot 323: Fiat 125 Samantha - One of only 100 built

Cars, Coys (15 June 2013)

The Samantha is a rare two-door coupe variation of the Fiat 125, built by the Italian coachbuilder Alfredo Vignale. Long famed for the special prototype and production bodies he has designed and built in Turin for the world's largest car manufacturers, Vignale produced in the Samantha a luxury car to please himself. Breathtakingly beautiful, exciting performance, advanced engineering, considerable luggage space and comfort for four people, the new Fiat 125 Samantha has the true beauty of line of a car destined to be a classic from the minute it left the drawing board. The 125 Samantha on offer here today was manufactured in 1968 and is one of only 100 believed to have been built. It has been recently restored to a very high standard and comes complete with a significant amount of photos archiving the process. The car is fitted with a 1995cc engine, 5-speed gearbox, ventilated front discs and electronic ignition, radiator fan and fuel pump giving spritely performance. The vendor has described the car as being in excellent condition throughout. It is finished in brown with a beige interior and comes with a host of spare parts. This is an excellent opportunity to own an incredibly rare Italian sportscar.
