Lot 1333: Greeves 24TJS Anglian ex Gordon Farley works bike..
This well restored Anglian comes complete with a copy of the Greeves Competition Department Motor Cycles register showing that this bike was loaned to Gordon Farley for the 1967/68 season and was subsequently purchased by Gordon, the frame, engine and registration numbers all match the existing machine. The accompanying file contains much correspondence on the machine including a letter from Don Morley outlining the full spec' for this machine, also copy cuttings from the MotorCycle 10th April 1968 recording Farleys campaign against Sammy Miller at the Knut Trophy Trial in Somerset. The restored machine is complete with chrome rims under alloy guards, Renthal bars, Amal 932 carb' and Smiths speedo recording just 1,740 miles. A run of MOT's from 2008 until 2012 show just 36miles covered in the period. Offered for sale with V5c documentation, photo's, cuttings, correspondence and technical data, this is ex works Greeves comes with real bragging rights and was the pride of Dave Scotneys' collection.
