Lot 1352: Triumph TR6 Trophy

Vintage Sale, Cheffins (19 October 2013)

A machine with a potentially fascinating history, the vendors research with the owners club indicates that this TR6 was never registered and is likely to have been sent to the Falkland Islands from near new, finished in Falklands blue, the original Triumph colour scheme of red over silver is still visible beneath the tank knee pads. The duplex framed scrambler requires restoration and is supplied with its original engine No. D10597 another D16218 and copious original and new spares. Re-patriated in 1992 when it was last used, the vendor states that the current engine turns over and the magneto produces a spark. Supplied with a history file complete with customs documentation and C&E 386 document, a Triumph that has witnessed history.
