Lot 129: AC Ace Replica by Hawk

Classic Cars, Anglia Car Auctions (9 November 2013)

Correctly registered as a Hawk, with historic tax exempt status. Built on one of the first Hawk chassis over a 18 month period by Adam Cleden to exacting standards. Featured in the August 2000 issue of Classic and Sportscar magazine, a copy of which goes with the history file accompanying the vehicle. Subsequently sold in 2002 to Commander William Entwistle RN, a former Equerry to the Prince of Wales, who cherished the car for some six years. Fitted with a 2.5 litre Triumph straight six engine, mated to a 4 speed box with overdrive. Reluctantly being offered for sale by its retired custodian who confirms that the car is in superb condition and drives just as it should.
