Overview
In 1947, the Maserati brothers had fulfilled the condition of Adolfi Orso, when he bailed them out of bankruptcy and took over Maserati, that they work for Maserati for a further ten years.
Ernesto, Ettore and Bindo decided to start up their own business once more. They moved from Modena to Bologna and set-up Osca (Officine Specializzate per la Construzione di Automobili Fratelli Maserati SpA) and started once more on the work that had driven them to bankruptcy: building sports cars and racing cars.
The company was particularly successful in 750 cc class racing. The car performed well in the Mille Miglia and at Le Mans.
