Thurner
Overview
Insurance salesman Rudolf Thurner started making cars in a former fabric mill in Bernbeuren in Germany in 1969. His cars were predominantly sports cars with glass-fibre reinforced polyester bodies and side-lifting "winged" doors, using shortened floor pans from the NSU 1200. The engines were also from NSU and mounted in the rear of the car. There was also a motor sport version with tweaked NSU engine with fuel injection that delivered 135 bhp.
