Bonnet
Overview
The initials DB represent Charles Deutsch and Rene Bonnet who built sports cars, usually with parts by Panhard. The two men went their separate ways in 1961 and started new businesses. Rene Bonnet sold cars bearing his own name that incorporated Renault parts.
Besides the "road" cars, Bonnet also built Formula 2 racing cars with help from Renault but when the cars were not successful, Renault stopped its financial help. Bonnet ran into financial difficulties in 1964 and sold his company to Matra, who continued building the Djet.
