Overview

Giorgio Sargiotti laid the foundations for his car body company, Carrozzeria Monterosa, in January 1946, at the village of Moncalieri on the outskirts of industrial Turin.

The business slowly developed a speciality for building special car bodies.  Repairing dented bodywork was pushed increasingly into the background as Sargiotti dreamt of building his own cars.  In common with most specialist car makers in Italy, Sargiotti used Fiat parts.
