Auto Union
Overview
Formed in 1932, Auto Union encompassed the previously independent makes of Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer. Throughout the mid-30's the company enjoyed a successful period of production and motorsport within Nazi Germany.
Following the end of W.W.II the company found itself operating under the East German Soviet administration selling a variety of models. The last Auto Union models were produced in 1962, however the Audi division continues to prosper as part of the VW Group.
