Bowen
Overview
Although the London-built Bowen was contemporary with the Manchester one, and the same class of car, there was no connection between the two. The London car had a 9hp vertical-twin engine, 3 speed gearbox, and shaft drive. Several body styles were offered including a delivery van. The 2-seater model cost £175. The whole car, including the engine was made at the Mount Pleasant factory of Bowen & Co. who were originally brass founders, the company dating back to 1808.
