Spatz
Overview
German engineer Harald Friedrich started to build sports cars in 1956 which were intended to cost less than the cheapest Volkswagen Beetle. The new car, which was originally designed by Egon Brutsch as a three-wheeler, was known as Spatz.
Fredrich resigned from the company in 1957 and his partner, the motorcycle manufacturer, Victoria, continued making the Spatz but with two doors.
