Thurlow

1920 - 1921
The prototype Thurlow 3-wheeler was built in 1914, but production did not get under way until 1920, and even then, few were made. It had 10hp V-twin Precision engine which drove by chain to a 3-speed Sturmey-Archer gearbox, final drive to the rear wheel being by belt. Front suspension was by quarter-elliptics, with helical coils at the rear. The engine could be started from the seat, with a decompressor which lifted the exhaust valves during the first part of the starting lever's travel.
