Norma

1912 - 1914
The first product of the Norma Motor & Engineering Company was an usual cyclecar called the Pinnace. It had a steamlined boat-shaped body and was powered by a rear-mounted J.A.P. V-twin engine. Drive was taken forward by chain to a 3-speed gearbox in axle. It was designed by A. Percy Hann who drove one in the 1912 London Exeter Trial. The cyclecar was priced at £130, but few were sold. The company's next products were conventional light cars with 10.4 or 11.8hp 4-cylinder engines of 1460 and 1740cc, which they sold under the name Norma.
