AC (Scotland)
Overview
In 1984 the rights to the AC 3000ME were bought by a Scottish businessman and the new company made 30 examples in ten months; good by AC standards but not so good for a firm which was geared to make 400 cars a year. In 1985 a replacement model, the 'Ecosse', was announced. This had a completely new body style, a 2.5 litre Alfa Romeo V6 engine, and a claimed top speed of 145mph/233kmh, but the company folded within a few weeks.
By 1988 a new company called 'Ecosse' had taken over the design.
