Amphicar
Overview
The early Sixties witnessed the introduction of a number of mould breaking cars both in the US and Europe, one the strangest must have been the German built Amphicar. Amphicar set out to market and produce the worlds first amphibious passenger car, sales figures were projected to be 20,000 units...
Despite its clever combination of automobile and pleasure boat technology the car was deemed to be a dismal failure, only 800 cars were ever built, production ending in 1968.
