Overview
Tunex Conversions, which was already renowned for engine conversions, decided in 1965 to build complete cars. These were to be built by an entirely new company, Diva Cars Ltd. The cars were intended for both the racing circuit and use on public roads. The cars were characterised by their luxury finish, including leather upholstery and trim.
The first coupes were offered as kits for the do-it yourself builder with a choice of three different Ford engines. One of these cars was exhibited at the London Racing Car show of 1966 with a Hillman Imp engine but this car was less successful than the first GT models. The Valkyr was added in 1966 with a centrally-mounted engine but it was less successful than the GT. Three years later production of sports cars ceased.
