Sabella

1906 - 1914
Fritz Sabel's first car was hand-propelled, with a lever and chain which went over a free wheel on the back axle. To this he attached a 1hp engine and showed a development at the 1906 Stanley Show. He built one or two more cars, though possibly not for sale, and also another hand-powered machine, this time for six passengers.
By 1912 Mr Sabel was making a cyclecar of his own, powered by a 10hp V-twin JAP engine, with chain drive to a countershaft and vee-belt drive to the rear wheels. The body was a 2-seater with either side by side or tandem layout, and it was also available as a delivery van. The price was £115, reduced to £99 by the Spring of 1913.
