Overview
Originally formed during the mid-1960's to produce Formula 3 race-cars Piper built its first road-car, the GTT, in 1967. This car had evolved from the race only Piper GT and used MG Midget parts for ease of manufacture. Later models used Ford engines and a longer chassis. Although most Pipers were sold in kit form some 100 cars were built between 1967 and 1974.
