Overview
The first car to carry this name was the French-built La Ponette single-cylinder cyclecar imported by John Averies and sold either as the Averies or Averies-Ponette. Early in 1913 he offered a light car with 1050cc 8/10hp 4-cylinder engine, 3-speed gearbox and shaft drive. This was said to have been based on the Rolling made by Paul Dupressoir and was probably a Rolling bodied in England, or possibly imported as a complete car.
