Brough Superior

Overview

Brough Superior were assemblages of proprietary components.  Starting in 1935, Brough bought Hudson chassis for £85 and had the coachbuilder, Atcherly, fit a 4-seat drophead body for £125.  The cars featured such items as automatic chassis lubrication and built-in jacks, but claims that the engines were tuned should be treated with scepticism.

After 1939 Brough turned to precision engineering.
