Costin-Nathan

Overview

Frank Costin was an aerodynamics expert who had designed aircraft for de Havilland and also designed some 40 sports and racing cars.  He designed the Lotus 8 and Elite for Chapman but also the Vandervell Formula One and the first Marcos (the "cos is derived from Costin).  In 1965 he designed a car with a three-ply timber body for Roger Nathan that became the Costin-Nathan.

Frank Costin died of cancer on February 5, 1995, aged 75.
