Overview

German manufacturer Glas started off in agricultural engineering, moving into vehicle manufacturing in 1951 with the introduction of its "Goggo" Scooter. In 1955 the company decided to build its first passenger car, the Goggomobil.  Production of the strangely attractive Glas Goggomobile continued until 1967, the company had been acquired by BMW in the previous year.
