1903 - 1905
As Korte, Atkinson & Co., this firm had made motor tricycles and quadricycles of De Dion-Bouton type since 1900, and in 1903 a new company launched the Korte car. It had a 12/14hp 2-cylinder engine mounted transversely at the front of the car, with a 4-speed gearbox and double-chain drive. 4-or 6-seater tonneau bodies could be provided. A distinguishing feature was a large acetylene headlamp which projected way ahead of the front of the car.
