1900 - 1907
The first Mayfair was an imported car, and very probably so was the second. The Sports Motor Co. advertised various models which they sold under the names Mayfair or Sports. The Mayfair was a 2-seater voiturette with single-or 2-cylinder engine, and was imported from Belgium where it was made by Linon. The 1906/07 Mayfair was sold by the makers of the Craig-Dorwald, and was available in four models, the smallest with a 6hp De Dion-Bouton engine, the others being a 10hp twin and two fours, of 15 and 28hp. Their origins are unknown, though the 6hp may well have been another of Lacoste et Battmann's efforts.
