Powerdrive, a small manufacturer based in Wood Green, North London, produced its small "Roadster" during the height of the micro-car boom of the mid-1950s.

The small three wheeled Powerdrive car used a motorcycle engine and a lightweight alloy body making it very economical and attracting cheaper road tax. Production of the Powerdrive Roadster started in 1955 and finished in 1958.
