1911

In 1911 the Alden Sampson Manufacturing Co. of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, was bought by Benjamin Briscoe's United States Motor Co.  He decided that the Sampson name, which had been carried on trucks, should be used for a car again, and launched a conventional 35hp 4-cylinder tourer.  It did not survive the collapse of United States Motor Co. in 1912.
