Vandy
Overview
1920 - 1921
Lt Percy Vandervell and Major Frank, of the famous C.A.V. company, formed Vandys Ltd in 1919 to sell the Italian made Chiribiri and S.P.A. cars, and only a year later did they advertise a car of their own. It was a large American-type tourer with a 3772cc 6-cylinder Rutenber engine and in-unit 4-speed gearbox. The car was really overpriced at £1050 and although prices were reduced later, sales must have been hard to come by. Production was estimated as high as 150, but in reality may have been much less.
