Jaguar Mk 1 & Mk 2 Gold Portfolio 1955-69
Overview

The Mk I compact Jaguar is still a first-rate drivers car. However, most of the enthusiasm centres on the Mk II models. They had better rear suspension and brakes, graceful styling and the option of more power. The final revisions for the 1968 models brought in the 240 and 340 models with a cheaper specification but more available automatic option. The models were withdrawn when Jaguar settled for a single saloon in the shape of the XJ family. This is a book of contemporary road tests, new model introductions, technical and specification data, drivers impressions and buying second hand. Models covered include: Mk I 2.4, 2.4 Special Equipment, 3.4, Mk II 3.4 Automatic, 3.4, 3.8, 2.4, 240, 340, 3.8S. 180 pages, 350 illus. SB.
