Ferrari 308 & Mondial Gold Portfolio 1974-85

This book starts with the introduction of the V8 engined Ferraris in 1973 when the 308 GT4 arrived as a replacement for the 246 series Dino. It too was called a Dino and came with the transverse, mid-engine layout. However it was a 2+2. Sales were steady but not spectacular and ceased to be called Dino in 1976. The last of the 308GT4s was built in January 1980. The replacement was the Mondial 8, better looking and more interior space. The engine was now fuel injected but only 214bhp. Just 703 were made before it ceased in 1982. The new car retained the Mondial body but now had a 240bhp engine, this time the sales were good. A cabriolet came in 1984 and the engine increased to 3.2-litres in 1986. This is a book of contemporary road and comparison tests, specification and technical data, drivers impressions.
