Mercury Comet & Cyclone Limited Edition 1960-1970

The Comet was designed as a full six-seater, small car just a few inches longer than the Falcon but otherwise with many interchangeable parts. The 1963 changes stressed the low upkeep feature and also introduced a convertible. Within six months, however, a greatly improved chassis was sporting a V8 engine. The Cyclone came as owners of Comets wanted more luxury and performance. As with all the models there were plenty of options to tailor the car to your needs. The 1966 Cyclone GT followed the pattern of small car big engine. Following years saw much improved power and a very sporting image. This is a book of contemporary road tests, new model introductions, technical and specification data, drivers impressions. Models covered include:- Comet, Wagon, 170, S22 V8, Caliente, 202, 404, Cyclone, Convertible, Cyclone GT, Cyclone 428, Cobra Jet, 428 Cyclone CJ, Montego 429. 92 pages, 200 ill. Soft Bound
