Chevy II Nova & Ss Muscle Portfolio 1962-1974
Overview

The Chevrolet introduce in 1962 was initially marked as the 'thrift car' and came with a four-cylinder engine or an optional ohv six and it was not until 1964 that the small-block V8 arrived together with a conversion kit for earlier models. The Nova SS, fitted with a variety of V8s, including the legendary L79, kept the reputation high into the 1970s. Emissions control regulations then struck and the Nova lost power. This is a book of contemporary road and comparison tests, model introductions, drivers' impressions, rallying, technical and specification data. Models covered include: 100 Series, Bad Basomb, V8, Station Wagon, 400SS, 327SS, SS396, Sport Coup, 230 Sedan, Phase III SS 427, SS 350, Rally 6, Rally 8, V8 Auto Sedan, Twin Turbo, Hatchback and L-88. 140 pages, 300 illus.
