Triumph Tr2 Tr3
Overview

The 20TS was unveiled in October 1952 in prototype form. It was not designated TR1 until the TR2 went into production in 1953. Initially these were delivered in basic trim but in 1954 some options were included such as overdrive and centre-lock wire heels. Later in 1954 the doors were changed, the rear brakes increased and a removable hardtop became optional. The TR2 gave way to the TR3 from Autumn 1955, the main change being the grille. Front wheel discs came at the end of 1956. The TR3 became the TR3A in 1958 with a full-width grille and lockable boot. In the same year the body tooling was renewed. Rather than have the TR4 in 1964 the US market had a revised TR3, all produced in left-hand drive. This is a book of contemporary road tests, new model introductions, technical and specification data, drivers impressions, rallying, racing, second hand. 172 pages, 450 illus. SB.
