The Scimitar and its Forebears

We now present the first reprint of the only book devoted to recording the history of the Scimitar motor car. You will find in these pages details of the latest additions to the model range together with some additional pictures. These include the SST open 2-Beater manufactured by Reliant as well as the revised Middlebridge GTE now being hand-made in Nottingham.

Latest developments in the owners club are reviewed also. While the Reliant Group have now diversified into producing Metrocab Taxis, we hope that future editions of this book will still be able to record that a Scimitar is still in production. The loyalty of many past owners should ensure a future for this unique car as it is truly a British product to be proud of. What further encouragement should its makers need than that HRH The Princess Royal continues to drive a GTE as her personal transport.
